Troop 442 is a fully chartered and accredited troop in the Boy Scouts of America. Our charter is granted by the Great Smokey Mountains Council, BSA and we are sponsored by the Blount Home Education Association (BHEA). The troop was initially chartered in 1997 and has been in continuous operation ever since. Our troop charter is reviewed and renewed annually. The Great Smokey Mountains Council consists of nine districts with approximately 18 to 20 Troops per district. Troop 442 is an important part of the Tuckaleechee District.
